BCR NP Events
Our Neighbourhood Partnership has coordinated a number of meetings and community events with the aim of involving the wider community in helping to influence decisions about council services and local projects for the area.
With the freezing of spending and the ending of the current Neighbourhood Partnership structure imposed by Bristol City Council, BCR NP itself will not be holding future special events.
We hope that a successor organisation can be formed to help coordinate events with other community groups.
Previous annual events
- A Festival in early May – nine days of events across our neighbourhood, coordinated by the Neighbourhood Partnership and organised by many local community and commercial organisations.
- A Fair in mid-September – a day to find out what the Neighbourhood Partnership is doing, hear from community groups, participate in activities and vote for our Little Grants for Big Ideas.
- Neighbourhood Forums – quarterly events on a weekday evening, held in successive venues around Bishopston, Cotham and Redland, for people from the whole NP area to catch up with local goings-on and discuss local issues and opportunities. Local councillors, police and Bristol City Council officers usually attend.
- Neighbourhood Partnership Meetings – quarterly meetings of partnership members at which decisions concerning the NP are made. Open to the public and held in a local venue.
