Do you know where you live?

You may think you know where you live; well of course you do know where you live, but it is probably not the name of the ward that the Council knows you live in.

For instance, have a look at some of these examples to see the difference:-

is Redland Police Station on Lower Redland Road in Redland?

No, it is in Cotham Ward;  so is Redland Station, Redland Grove and the south side of Redland Hill as well as the Polish Church on Arley Hill.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

St Andrew’s Park is in Redland Ward.

As is Redland Green and Durdham Down, and the Gloucester Road railway bridge above, but Redland Library is in Clifton East Ward.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Isn’t Horfield Prison in Horfield?

No, it is in Bishopston Ward, as is Gloucestershire County Cricket ground, the Memorial Stadium and the play area on Horfield Common.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

So check the ward maps below to make sure that you go to the Forum where the officers who are responsible for your area will be.

I wonder if you could give me a list of meeting halls that holds public speaking in the Redland ward area of Bristol.

  2. Alison Bromilow says:

To find a list of community venues in the area:
Use the Explore Bristol or Know Your place maps and ticking the box marked ‘community venues’ under Local Information > Community and Safety?
